Its the lack of vertical depth that I find a problem. Although it might be
that 1024 vertical is "enough". When not developing, I can cope with a much
smaller space (-:

Worst thing is that a decent 1600x1200 capable 19" CRT can be had for £250
plus whereas to get that res on an LCD is a smidge over £1000.

Finally, if you want to drool, the state of the art for LCDs is circa
3000x2000...
