How many machines? All in the same room? Easy to wire between any
rooms that need it.

My personal setup is a 8 port hub with my 2 servers, printer and
design machine sitting on it, also plugged into the switch is a
Wireless Access Point, which my laptop downstairs connects to. What
suits you all depends on the number of machines, where they are
situated, what speeds you need and so on. Netgear networking stuffs
are nice, im sure other people here will recommend their favourite
vendors too...
