Re: FN-FORUM Site Review

Something I read in a marketing magazine (I think), 'Sell the sizzle, not
the steak'. Now it went on to explain that this meant that it is better to
sell the benefits of a service rather than just the service. When I say
sell, I mean attempt to sell. IMO the saying is bollocks anyway, you don't
want the sizzle, you want the taste and the texture.
Why I'm saying this is that the reason I asked the 'what is a shell account'
question, it was more, 'what can a shell account do for me?' What are the
benefits?
One of the most annoying things that women are renowned for saying (sorry
for that broad sweep, but I've never thought it myself - honest!), is 'If
you don't know, I'm not telling you'. I always thought that to mean, 'I
don't know'. Maybe it's better to explain what you are selling if only to
show that you know what you're talking about.
Dave
I don't want a sizzle - I want a sodding steak!
