I've been very happy with it, but then, I've been using it since it was
StarOffice v3. ;-)

I *have* been using SO/OO.o in a corporate setting (i.e. MS
Office-prevalent) for about two years now.

The only thing I've found is that using a StarCalc spreadsheet as a source
for mailmerge can sometimes result in a broken spreadsheet file on the disc!
Not nice if that's your customer list!

I've worked around it by using a CSV file instead.

Also, it's not too wise to edit complex documents using a mixture of Word
and StarWriter - sometimes the formatting gets munged. Of course, if people
treated it like DTP and only did the formatting as the final step (once the
text has been edited and agreed) this wouldn't be a problem. A large number
of the Word-formatted documents are quite offensive to the eye of anyone who
has the slightest understanding of good design anyway. [*]

[*] Yes, I'm a techie, but I've done a lot of reading on typesetting in my
time.
