Just curious,
Why install an old version of PHP rather then v4.3?

Subject: FN-FORUM Apache Server and PHP problems
Help Please!!!
I've installed Apache2 (apache_2.0.43-win32-x86-no_ssl) and have
unzipped PHP(php-4.2.3-Win32) onto c: and renamed the folder 'php'. All
good so far. I've pasted 'php4ts.dll' into Windows/System32 and inserted
the following into 'httpd.conf':
LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Essentially I've stuck to the instructions on
http://php3.info/manual/en/install.apache2.php.
And the bloody thing won't start. Starting it from 'Services' results in
the notification that I should refer to 'service-specific error code 1'.
Couple of additions: I'm using XP Pro and once lines calling
php4apache2.dll are removed from .conf Apache2 resumes normal service.
I hope someone can help!
Cheers,
Kai
