Nestscape HTML problems

I have been working on a HTML layout which works fine in every browser apart
from bloody Netscape, basically it is not displaying background images used
on table cells and I also have a drop down menu witht he numbers 1,2,3,4,5
as the options, rather than show the frop down it shows text saying the
numbers, any ideas?
