Hi,
1. It would be great if every designer had his browser default
background color set to something other than white. Then nobody will
every forget to set the bgcolor attribute in body tag.
2. You have those smiley icons here
http://www.kidzbizz.co.uk/display.php?category=Family%20Day%20Out which
have white background when the table rows are in different colors. The
gifs with transparent background will look much better.
3. Blue links on a blue background - bad. Add contrast if you want
visitor to navigate on your site - not just leave.
4. Check your site in different browsers. For example, Netscape 4.7
gives "400 Bad Request" errors on a number of pages, cause you're using
sentences as parameter which sometimes have whitespaces in them and you
are not encoding them into the URL format. It'll work with IE, but IE is
always lying to you. See
http://www.kidzbizz.co.uk/display.php?category=Adventure Parks it should
be http://www.kidzbizz.co.uk/display.php?category=Adventure%20Parks
And I'd say there's no point of using sentences as parameters of your
scripts at all (with only exception when the sentence is a user-defined
search string), you can always use numbers, which are shorter and don't
require any encoding. Moreover you've already used that here:
http://www.kidzbizz.co.uk/displayitem.php?item=1042048797, how category
pages differ?
5. Now positive comment: I liked that your site is very lightweight,
just as informational resource should be.
HTH, Stas.
