I've had this before... Arial at 11pt can sometimes act weird.

the other choices in your stylesheet, Verdanda and Helvetica act fine at
11pt and Arial at 10 or 12pt acts fine. God knows why, it's one of the
reasons I use verdanda instead of Arial a lot now.
