RE: FN-FORUM Newspaper Editorial
date posted 23rd January 2003 17:27
I wish I was getting a fee.
It's the result of them screwing up some advertising I placed with them.
They have offered to run the same advert (without the screw-ups) for free
next week - On the front page.
AND
Given me an A5 slot next to the advert as an editorial to say sorry for the
balls up.
I virtually have the whole of the bottom half of the front page.
It must have been advertising space that they couldn't filled this week
because I have no time to research and put together a great paper.
Shame,
But space is space and when its free.....

What about pros and cons of self-employment in your area? With the economy
taking a down-turn, I can imagine a lot of people wondering whether they
couldn't do better by striking out on their own. How might they test the
water? What opportunities are there locally? Maybe an interview with one or
two people who've done it?
You may strike a rich seam, in which case the paper may come back and ask
you to do a follow-up. Are you getting a fee for writing this article?
