That the reason two NT or 9x machines can't talk to each other or to a
Windows server is because you have to install netbeui for them to see file
shares. Or some variation on this theme. Luckily no one ever mentioned this
to any network I've run in the last 7 or 8 years, so I've never had the
problem!
