Short Run Print
date posted 24th January 2003 17:04
I've been asked to enquire regarding a project which, should the costs
involved be favourable, will go ahead some time very soon. As an artworker,
I know that I am able to produce this within a reasonable budget but where I
think this will fall down is on the print costings. What we are looking to
produce is (at the moment - brief changes constantly) a 32pp A4 4-colour
booklet/magazine on good quality (glossy preferably) material with a
four-page heavier outer cover. Print run will be anything from between 100
to 500, depending on uptake. As a regional item, interest so far has been
very positive so I am keen to look into the possibilities of making this
thing a reality. However, I really am in need of help on the print side with
regards to how to cost-effectively print the thing. I'm in Gillingham, Kent
so if anyone in the locality (although I'll hear from ANYONE in the first
instance) has any sound advice on how to cheaply print short runs such as
this, I'd be ever grateful.
Kind regards in advance
