RE: FN-FORUM [OT] Radar Detectors (Was: Design Critique)
date posted 24th January 2003 18:23
Ah, but there's nothing more satisfying than when I'm in my knackered old
4x4 and towing a horsebox, and I've got a couple of caravans stuck behind me
on their way to Skegness for their summer holiday. I'll be going five to
ten miles an hour slower than them, and damned slowly round sharp corners,
and they haven't got a hope in hell of getting past me. It makes up for all
the hours and hours I've spent stuck in a line of traffic behind a caravan
when I'm in my fast car :)
Best wishes,
Ross Hamilton

I see. They've got a perfect right to build up a huge tailback of
traffic whilst they meander along at a snail's pace have they? They've
got a perfect right to add unnecessary time to everyone else's journey
because their brain ceases to function over 50mph have they? That has
fuck all to do with speeding - like I said - they're underspeeders. It's
inconsiderate arseholes dictating that everyone has to drive like Miss
Daisy,

Since when has driving been solely about speeding. If some drivers enjoy
chugging along, they've a perfect right to do so. What speeders seem to
forget is that in speeding all over the place they're putting other
lives at
risk.
