Actually it occurred to me that I share another habit with bikers. I
drive during the day with my lights on (normally).

Many years of long journeys has shown me that there is a big difference
in the number of people that cut out in front of me if I have my light
on. So for safety sake I think that it is a very good thing, ofcourse if
everyone did it then the advantage would be reduced.

It does however lead me to believe that 99% of the drivers on the roads
are almost totally blind.
