Yes I know that is true of some motorcyclists.
I would not say most, but certainly a number.
No excuse.
Actually, in the last few years - perhaps as biking
has become more popular and more of us (and
more lights / main beams!) to see - the general
awareness of bikes by motorists is vastly improved
in my observation.
I do not have much of a problem with the "I didn't
see you" car brigade.
I am of the opinion that many of these cases are by
bikers basically out of control - if you are tearing along
you cannot expect people around the corner to know
about it and they will be pulling out. A lot of bikers
get out of the ditch (if they are lucky) and say "he didnt
see me" - bollocks.
If there is a speed limit set (ie less than the national
limit) and anyone is breaking it, I have no problem
with them having someone pulling out on them as if they
were adhering to the limit. I do it myself in built up area
to slow the bastards down. Open road is entirely different.

Look, I MUST finish this work! This thread is far too interesting.
How about a question:
"I can't be bothered to google, and don't want to go and look
on phpresource index, hotscripts, sourceforge, freshmeat, tucows etc
but: is there a grep for windows?"
Night all,
Hugh
P.S That is a question and no I haven't looked just would have been handy
this evening
