i caused some eyebrows to be raised whern i gave my views on what should be
done to drink drivers.
screw a trial, they're guilty. unless they can at the scene come up with
some really good reason for drink driving then they should be locked away
for 2 weeks. nothing on their criminal record unless they were speeding as
well, just locked up for 2 weeks.
after those 2 weeks they have a further 4 to prove that the car they were
driving wasnt theres, if they can't prove otherwise the car gets trashed, if
they can then they get a large fine.
i figure drink driving figures would plummet - esp. around christmas when
the person gets to face their family after those 2 weeks. there'd soon be a
social pressure to not drink and drive.
