Re: FN-FORUM Silly Site Check
date posted 27th January 2003 18:15
Various reasons are the answers to all your q's here... I need people
registering because that's how the site works... people register, then
everytime they contribute to a picture, you know who they are and who drew
which bit. I toyed with the idea of setting up a test user for you lot to
use, but it would have made the whole thing fall down. It's quite
complicated under the hood and there are things that tell you who is working
on what and that lock you out of things depending who you are and what you
have done etc. One user for all would have broken all that.
I knew when I posted it that lots of you wouldn't want to, but I also knew
that some of you would - and you have - thanks all that did.
The point of posting it here was to find out if people could work out what
to do (some could/some couldn't) and if the drawing app would work on
everyone's PC. I noticed there were a couple of aberrant results (a body
disappearing and stuff like that), but on the whole it looks (from this
side) like it worked OK.
Did it blow up on anyone/make them angry? And congratulations to whoever
'chrid' and 'hefalump' are - "funtler" turned out to be a real gem.
Cheers,
Dan.
