They bothered because the hoards of VB programmers were asking for it I
guess :O)

I quite like VB.NET, particularly the way OO is implemented (apart from the
lack of multiple inheritance). C# is probably the purists language, and like
most .NET developers I flick between the two, but I 'think' in VB.NET.
