Actually, VB.NET and C# have converged to a fairly strong degree when you
look at the semantics. There are only a few areas where you can't write
exactly equivalent line-by-line code. And C# is pretty much a clean-room
rewrite of Java with a few things from (and for) COM included.
If you're good at remembering syntax, you could learn both in parallel.
IMHO.
BTW, on the subject of languages, are InstallShield still using that
*horrible* script language? Sort of Pascal-- type thing - I hated that...
And so unnecessary!
