Try /etc/sysadm. That's where user management is on System V. logins gives a
user list with group membership.
It's years since I used Unix (and I've only used SVR4) but useradd -D used
to give the default user environment (you can man to see if it's the same).
Also can check the skel .profile to see what the defaults are.
