Non stop processing...

Hi,
I m running a PHP script which is writing data of 59925 lines to a text =
file. When ever I run this its work fine & write complete data to text =
file but takes so much time. What I wanna do is that, start this script =
ones from browser & close the browser and do my other tasks when writing =
to a text file process is complete then script sends me an email of =
confirmation. Is this possible to do....any Ideas...
