RE: FN-FORUM: Thick clients...

I've had a client swear their sites not online...
Of course they had accidently set IE to 'work offline'
... and yes they used AOL (and 'signing on' mysteriously made the website
appear)
As to your client, I hope they never buy one of those tins of treacle pud.
I dread to think what they would do upon reading 'stand in boiling water for
40 minutes'

Subject: FN-FORUM: Thick clients...
I gave the url for a site over the phone to a client (on AOL), spelling out
the net address letter by letter then saying 'hit enter'. Client says they
got a page not found message. took me a while to figure out they had typed
www.siteaddress.com/enter
ARRRRRGGGHHHHH
