We've had similar problems with "No-name cd's"
Try reducing the Write speed from the software, although a lot claim to be
40x write or more a lot don't like it, try 20x or less write speed and see
if the problem goes away.
If not then I normally completly uninstall then reinstall the burner
software from scratch and re-run the drive tests, which also sorts out most
problems.
