I'm currently working on one using Director with the V12 database Xtra:
http://www.integrationnewmedia.com/products/v12director/. You have to
write your own Lingo to do searches over more than one table. I've also
found this one (but not tried it):
http://www.paradigmasoft.com/files/v4md.html that uses simple SQL
queries.
