Unfortunately 3 years ago in Dusseldorf at 5:30am... No signs and being half
asleep I wasn't really prepared/able to argue too hard! particularly as I
was yet again cutting it very fine on check in time!!!!

That would be easily resolved nowadays by the simple expedient of picking up
the
sign that sits atop every row of checkins and pointing at the appropriate
bit of
text (assuming of course you can now find it given that the sign is much
bigger
than it used to be!)
