Simon,
I don't have it and I've got loads of fonts but from what I can see
here: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/urw/baskerville-old-face/ it doesn't
seem that different from Times New Roman - especially when used as a
body font in HTML docs.
Saying that, I wouldn't have said that telling them the limitations of
the media is letting them down in any way at all.
I'd suggest informing them of the limitations of using the font they
want and presenting an alternative:
"We can specify Baskerville and those that have it will see it but those
who won't will see Times New Roman which at a small size looks very much
like Baskerville"
