FN-FORUM: Trojan detected by AVG
date posted 27th June 2003 10:33
AVG reported detecting a Trojan horse while searching an mp3 site a
couple of hours ago. It told me to run a scan to remove it, so I
foolishly clicked OK without noting the exact file (in temporary
internet files, and a name something like small_download.exe).
The scan failed to locate anything, and nothing has been added to the
AVG logs or virus vault.
Adaware and ZoneAlarm detected nothing amiss, and a file search by name
and date was fruitless.
Can anyone explain what happened, and more importantly can I stop
worrying?
Thanks,
David Nye
