Yes, although it isn't strictly relevant to your original question, any
batteries seem to last about 3X longer.
The Canon has a reasonable viewfinder, and a 2 sec or 10 sec preview option,
(or keep your finger on the shutter) then the display goes off. Not an issue
for an afternoon, but worth knowing if you're off on hols ;-)
