You should get all the software with it, a simple case of plug the USB
into the machine.

I've taken the plunge and ordered a Canon Powershot A70 digital camera
with free 64mb card from Amazon. Just hope I get it in time for my
holiday.

One question though, as I've never actually had a digital camera before,

will it still transfer easily to my mac or do I need something extra or
different software?
