Re: FN-FORUM: thanks alot---cgi and asp
date posted 29th June 2003 20:19
the original question was: will this work? (along with a few others that may
have been answered in the mail script or by searching at google).
as Nick G said: if you're not sure if something will work, have you tried it
out? surely we all learn stuff by learning from our mistakes and finding
ways to do things based on something not working. we bang away at it until
something changes, something works, it all works!!! hurrah!!!
i would suggest if google hasn't produced the answers, google isn't being
asked very well.
- ask the whole question.
- ask the whole question without the "the" "and" "if" "where" words.
- try the same question in Google Groups
- if you don't get the answer you want in the first ten results at google,
try the next page. try the first ten results anyway - answer number 3 may be
a link to "dreamweaverandcgiforbeginners.com", which would be a step towards
an answer, or at least a useful resource for the future.
i don't think anyone is having a go, i think people are trying to provide
you with the tools to find the answers for yourself. people are still being
pleasant and helpful. please try and not take it personally :)
hope to help, anyway. good luck with it.
iain
