FN-FORUM: WHAT IS A FORUM FOR?
date posted 29th June 2003 22:58
to some of the people who replied to the 'confused
cgi/asp person' what is the big deal? I just asked a
question, or perhaps I mistunderstood maybe I am wrong
about this but I thought forum meant a place to
discuss and ask questions???? You might think I don't
get your point, - which i am thinking is, find out the
answer for yourself you will learn more by it....but
perhaps you are not getting my point, if you turn me
away when i ask a question like i shouldn't be asking
questions and tell me to go buy a book or search on
google then you might aswell tell everyone on here the
same thing!!!! I am sure everyone on here who knows
something about programming or whatever at one time
actually asked a person at least one question, rather
than looking in a book or using the net which i have
done- it's not like im not doing what everyone
suggests, all i was doing was what i thought was what
a forum was for, and what alot of people when they are
learning soemthing do, ask their peers or like minded
or similar minded people, or in this case other
freelancers, i thought this forum was to 'help each
other out'. I honestly understand the point of
'learning and doing', but I still think I was unfairly
answered- like I have a nerve asking a question like
that -or I should know better or soemthing, basically
that I am thick- and should do a basic 1-2-3 step on
google. I am looking forward to the replies if any.
