RE: FN-FORUM: NTL and business line

date posted 30th June 2003 19:57

Kimber,

I think they are technically right in that you have no recourse as you
would paying business line/connect charges if the lines down other than
their normal home user refund. Generally teleco's/cables won't give you
business status in a domestic residence even if you're willing to pay for
it.

Working from domestic sites is a grey area, basically don't push the issue
unless your willing to end up paying business rates and a hell of a lot of
legal fees on "dual use/change of use" to your local bandits called a
council.

Not what you want to here I guess, but been there.

Best bet is to be nice when you get a problem, have a fall back plan and
only scream when they fail on the home/domestic requirements.

Alan
