Quite frankly if the system as as you describe then all you're going
to need is a basic knowledge of generic SQL. If it's for a web
platform and they already have a DB technology in place then chances
are it will be one of MySQL, PostrgreSQL, SQL Server or (highly
unlikely unless they're huge) Oracle. Regardless of that, if the
level of awareness you're going to need is just to pick up the file
references etc. specific knowledge of one particular system will
probably be irrelevant :)
