The problem with Oracle, as far as I can see, is that they took their
original 1970s (60s?) product, and spent their entire development budget
ever since bolting things onto it. Once in a while you have to bite the
bullet and say "this is becoming unwieldy, we need to rationalise it" - but
I don't think Oracle has ever done this. People complain about MS
bloatware, but I think that Oracle is a far worse example.
