As a general point you will still have to have a pretty good skill at the
language of the country you want to work in, although rather in a Fawlty
Towers sic Manuel situation those cheap twats out there may have to resort
to brainstorm-pictionary crossover meetings to get things done. Also with an
ever increaing xenophobic attitude to 'Johnny Foreigner' with increasing
concerns about immigration and assylum seekers, I aint worried as most of
the work I do comes from SMEs. I would be only shitting myself if I worked
for a large penny pincing organisation.
As an aside, its a rather an interesting point that most people seem to see
the UK as a gold mine for work and cash; most seem to come in to London,
also another point - many are now fucking off even those from poorer parts
of Europe - this may have something to do with the following issues - House
prices, petrol, food, council tax, VAT, income tax, NI increases, high
rental prices, more expensive cars, high vehicle excise duties, inheritance
tax, corporation tax, crap public services, one of the most expensive public
transport systems which is also crap out of date and inefficient, long
working hours, performance related payment strategies, college tuition fees
and student loans, pollution, congestion charging, high parking fees etc etc
(I'm sure others could add to this). This makes the UK one of the most
expensive countries in Europe if not the world, it doesn't seem to be taking
that many people that long to work it out. You might be earning more, but
theres nothing more shite that seeing it disappearing and you ending up
earning as much as a Russian doctor
