FN-FORUM: WinXP & Icons

I'm hoping there's an easy answer to this one .... I've just built a new
PC, installed WinXP etc but, for some reason, some of the icons are not
being displayed - e.g. Internet Explorer is showing a standard 'windows'
type icon instead of the blue globe. I've tried changing the icon on
the relevant shortcuts but this doesn't seem to help. A lot of the
icons in the system32 folder don't even get listed when you browse to
change icon.

Does any of the above make sense to anyone?! If so, does anyone know
the answer??!!
