RE: FN-FORUM: Desks

Having just downloaded a couple of hundred mails I don't have a chance
to check if anyone suggested this already ...
I 'built' a great desk using worksurface from B&Q - a 3M length is
around =A330 I think (plus 2 or 3 legs) - probably cost no more than =
=A340
to =A350 altogether. I find it great for my needs, albeit not quite as
elegant as a purpose built desk - but of course you can get worksurface
in many different finishes so you could probably find something
compatible with the room it's going to be in (unless it's your lounge of
course!)
I guess you could even build your own cable tidy into it if you wanted
to - also IKEA have some great drawer units for peanuts that just roll
underneath.

Subject: FN-FORUM: Desks
I've been looking at getting a new desk recently, but they all seem a=20
little small for what I need. I'm looking for something that can handle
not just a desktop PC, monitor and speakers, but also hold comfortably a
laptop, laser printer, scanner, cable modem/router, document holder,=20
phone, various accessories (camera, etc.) and any other bits and pieces=20
(mail, pens, calculator, etc..)
If they have a built-in cable tidy, that would be a boon!
Anyone have any suggestions (other than Argos?) :-)
Cheers,
Matt
