An alternative might be iShell (http://www.tribeworks.com/).

You can download a fully working demo, then buy a licence when you are
ready to ship.

Depends on QuickTime being installed, but does include the facility to
install it on the machine as part of the runtime.

Sweet little program that--once you get your head round its metaphor--I
find a lot easier/quicker than Director.
