Ah! a rush job, technology (probably platform) preselected and an
immediate start - we all know what this means
* the job is shit/infeasable/insane/... and the selected consultant
walked out rather than have is reputation tarnished with a fiasco
over which he has lttle control.
* the company is in the shit somehow and the "consultant" walked out.
* they went for the cheapest consultant possible. When he arrived, they
realised that he only spoke isbecastani and wrote
in cryillic, They are now wetting themselves because they have
promised results to the board :-)
any one of these or worse a combo would make the job a nightmare - this
does not mean it is impossible - just a nightmare.
Generally the "urgent" and "immediate start"s should make your spidey
sense tingle :-)
I expect someone will take the job but I sure hope to hell they charge a
premium...
I know I am not applying for it :-)
