FN-FORUM: ADSL Routers/modems - and air-con

A few days/weeks ago someone asked opinions of DSL routers/modems. I
replied to someone's recommendation of a D-Link DSL-504 - though have
discovered a new quirk with mine.

During this fairly hot weather, every day around 4pm when the
temperature is at it's peak it hangs. The casing temperature get fairly
warm anyway, but my thermometer put it around 40 degrees C on these
days. Not wanting to cool it down too quickly the best solution seemed
to be to leave it on the cool side of the house (east facing, so the
east side is cooler at night as the sun goes round). =20

My proposed solution to help me and the equipment is to put an air-con
unit in the general vicinity, with a couple of tower-shape fans around
the house to direct the airflow to other places that need it (i.e. me).

So, has anyone any experience or recommendations of air-con equipment
that can keep me, an email and dev server and my cat nice and cool?
