Re: FN-FORUM: Stupid FTP

date posted 9th August 2003 13:11

hi john,

i once had some similar problems, but found switching ftp client fixed
them, so it sounds wierd what's going on there... but to my knowledge
it is some kind of hidden file, but it is half-complete so doesn't
register properly in the directory, but the ftp client still recognises
that 'something' is in there...

you may well have to just reinstall so that the files can be rebuilt
again... unless you can do a directory rebuild remotely...

i found it interesting to read your post about how many quotes you got
for your project posting. i have been applying to those postings for
about two months now and never heard a single reply - so it's
interesting to hear how many people are going after each job!!! it's a
similar story to what i hear in the agencies in london - that there is
approximately 100 people going after each freelancing post. it's a
tough market out there right now...
