Sounds like a dodgy keyboard, you can test the control key by opening up a
Command box and using CTRL + M = (CR), it should perform the same as a
return Key. If you just get a row of M's, then the ctrl key isn't working.
If it's ok, then it could be the Windows Keyboard drivers got corrupted, I
sometimes get odd behaviour with the TAB key on 16 bit apps on mine. A hard
power off/restart fixes it.
