RE: FN-FORUM: Where are YOU based?

"You grammer freaks need to lightn up"
"Because HTML is outmoded bollocks."
"I will spell as badly as I like - if you don't like it...tough shit."
"I see no need to re design in for HTML. Perhaps in the future I may
design a site for HTML but for time being this will do."
Looks like my day out saved me from a good flame war!
I've just one comment to add to the events of the day:
The Internet / email / world wide web is still primarily communication
by the written word.
The message you have to convey, be it via web site or email, can only be
successful if the words you use can be correctly interpreted by the
user.
Spelling and grammar are essential to the accurate transmission of your
message. (even then it can be misunderstood)
For what its worth, in the same way that I am judged a pedantic buffoon
for my tedious adherence to standards (in the use of both language and
code); I and others like me, make judgements about those that cannot (or
will not) check the grammar and spelling of their message.
Good luck to you all.
