FN-FORUM: XP Performance

I'm finally upgrading the old beast I have in front of me from a PII 233
(running at 500) to a PIII 800 - no charge to myself seeing as I am flat
broke.
It'll have at LEAST a 40Gb HDD, and at least 512 Ram in it (Normal SD
PC100 - about all I have lying around!) maybe a bitmore depending on what I
have in boxes in the house.

I wanna know how reliably XP Home and XP pro are liable to run with that
Spec.
Normal stuff running'll be
Flash, Fireworks, Freehand, Dreamweaver (all MX), Photosohop 6 and 7 , maybe
Illustrator 10. Apache with PHP and mySQL as local development, and Swift 3D
as the work titles, and then a few games like UO and Warcrft 3, Diablo II
etc.

Any advice is welcomed.
And the other thing - depending on the machne itself - can you usually OC an
800 to 1Gig?
