I wont really comment on the design becuase it is 2 yellow bars and some
text! :P

However, for this kind of site it might be nice to have some themed
templates for different types of event?

Nothing cheesy, it just might make it look a bit more welcoming. The current
choice of images, the dimensions and the 'fx' applied to them on the
"welcome page" are lame. Example: I'd use a close up on the couples faces
only and increase the size quite a bit. This will give it a bit of impact.
