RE: FN-FORUM: autorun.exe for cd - again
date posted 19th August 2003 16:35
Hi,
I missed the first posts on this topic, but i have done the same sort of
thing, only i used autorun.inf as below & set it to open a freestanding
flash file, the flash file then displayed a dummy ... please wait ...
loading type screen and on completion it then runs a html page. This is the
same setup as the free cds you get with PC Plus magazine & similar to the
ones off .net mag.
If you want to know more, let me know.
Hope this helps.

Subject: FN-FORUM: autorun.exe for cd - again
Thanks to John, Alan & others,
but my probelm is not solved yet.
I followed instructions about shellexe.exe and root of my test CD contains
this:
1) autorun.inf:
open=shellexe.exe intro.htm
2) shellexe.exe
3) intro.htm
Theirs shellexe.exe on double click opens .htm explaination about
autorun (which I beleive I followed), but now I begin to think
shellexe.exe requires some changes in itself, but it's not what it says
in instruction.
Could you please tryout this and help me finish it?
