FN-FORUM: paypal or not to paypal?

i have been speaking to a new client who is about to launch a website
(nothing to do with me!) which uses paypal as the e-commerce solution.

they've asked for my opinion of paypal as a solution. (they've recently been
reading sites such as paypalsucks.com and are now worried about using it!)

does anyone have any links to good (reputable!) industry reviews of paypal
(good or bad)?
and/or does anybody have any thoughts on security issues with regards to
paypal? i.e. should they be worried and looking for an alternative solution?
does anyone have any stats for numbers of sites using paypal etc?

i made the point that paypal is a very big business and there will be people
who have had a bad experience with them and will be very vocal about dissing
paypal on things like paypalsucks.com, but how many have had no problems
with paypal in comparison (millions?)?

they are a small business and paypal probably makes sense to them from a
financial point of view but should they be looking at alternatives at this
stage (with their site days away from launch)?
