FN-FORUM: adding a mac os X to windoze 2K network

Hi all,

i have a windoze network, which has a wins server running off a win 2K
server.

Each machine on the n/w uses DHCP to be allocated an IP.

I am trying to add the mac to the network. i can now see the macs IP
address, but how do i give it machine name like 'mac' that everyone on the
network can use.

i am not sure if this counts as being OT or not, so i sort of apologise if
it is.
