Stable? Entirely. Not one crash and no funnies in about 3 years.
(SuSE 6 I think through 8)
First year developmentwise was fairly tortuous,
using the Gui on Linux and Netscrape to preview.
Last two years have been fantastic.
Linux Apache server and file server,
Putty to give "dos box" to access files etc,
Samba running to allow Win98 map it as a drive.
Then can use any of the windows browsers,
Explorer to manage files, windows file editor of my
choice for my Linux/php files etc.
Can swap to Linux Gui to do things - but almost never do these days.
(I'm afraid I no longer have time to test for
Linux browser compatibility - sorry!)
No problems at all. Drag and drop "backup" across
systems in case one goes down on me (ooer)
Configuration? My mate did it but it was not hard.
I am hopeless with hardware/OS set up - does my head in.
