Glad to hear its going now :o)

The other thing I thought of last night (seeing as I couldnt do much else as
my IE and MP9 cd disapeared along with all my drivers etc - and lucky me
needed to do a clean install of 98 seeing as the wife deleted something I
needed and botched the machine) was perhaps
[autorun]
start=iexplore.exe url
icon=icon.ico
[end]

Seeing as older 9x machines need an exe.
Not sure if it works - and running low on cash to be burning CD's to check
it :(
