FN-FORUM: Syncro 24 / 3780 Dialling problems
date posted 22nd August 2003 13:00
Bit of a long shot, but can anyone help with the following:
1) Providing a working syncro 24 modem for using with an autodialler - I
have a modem here (and have just tested about 5) that all seem to have the
correct settings but they refuse to dial out, but are happy to accepting
incoming calls.
2) 3780 dialling software. At the moment the client is using a crusty old
piece of software ('BSC' by Deecal) which won't work on any PC faster than
about 75Mhz. I'd quite like to replace the software before their last
remaining prehistoric computer breaks down.
3) A Sync-Card for BSC 3780 file transfers.
Basically, the client has a PC with an Access/VB system on that dials out
using the Sync-Card/3780 software to a load of stores with syncro 24 modems
in - I want to be in the position of being able to replace the PC-based
back-end (with a faster PC) should anything go wrong. I'm going to google in
a moment, but I'd be interested in recommendations, or offers to supply the
lot in return for financial reward.
Cheers,
Andy
